A few years ago our family all sat down and came to a conclusion that we wanted to find a common piece of property, that we could all move on and begin our family farm.
As a young boy I have always wanted to garden, as I love being outdoors! I never really dreamed that I would have wanted to do this on a grand scale.......
This is where Covenant Acres was birthed!
We went through many different obstacles early on, but we remained steadfast through lots of prayer and the Lord provided.
One day I was at work and overheard a man talking about a piece of property he wanted to get rid of in Sweeny, TX. So I asked him what he wanted for it? I came home and talked with the men of our family and we all prayed about the future of our families and the direction we wanted to take them.
The next day I asked the man what he wanted to sell the property for and he told me the price. So I asked him if he would owner finance it and immediately (totally opposed to it) he said no. No matter what we didn't want to finance it through a federal banking system. Just to see what the bank would finance the property for, I called them and due to what we where trying to do, they would not finance it either.
We had to meet and due a lot more praying because we had convictions about not going through a federal banking system.
The next day I called to let him know that due to convictions, it isn't going to happen. As I was going to hang up he said wait a minute, lets talk about owner financing!!!!
After all of the prayer and financing the Lord gave us our hearts desire!!
